AI Implementation

Practical AI. Real business value.

AI should solve problems, not create complexity. We help businesses identify useful AI opportunities, implement the right tools and integrate them into everyday operations.

Hannah Clarke: Office move, need help

Hi, we're moving our 12-person accountancy practice to a new office in Reading at the end of March. We need our desks, files and IT equipment moved over a weekend if possible. Can you let me know what you'd need from us and a rough idea of next steps?

AI does the reading, sorting and first draft. A person checks the details and decides what is sent. In a real project, accuracy is tested on your own enquiries before anything goes live.

How we implement AI

Start small, test properly, then expand what works.

  1. 1Understand the business problem
  2. 2Identify and assess AI opportunities
  3. 3Evaluate data quality, privacy and security
  4. 4Define a limited proof of concept
  5. 5Test accuracy, reliability and failure scenarios
  6. 6Implement appropriate human controls
  7. 7Deploy and train users
  8. 8Monitor performance, costs and outcomes

AI isn't the answer to everything.

If a process follows clear rules, conventional automation is usually more reliable and cheaper to run. We'll recommend AI only where it handles something rules can't, such as reading free-text emails or messy documents. Sometimes the best answer is a simple process automation.

Trust and governance

Data privacy and UK GDPR
We look at what data is used, where it is processed and how long it's kept, and design around your obligations.
Access controls
Tools only see the information each user is allowed to see.
Human oversight
People approve consequential actions. The AI prepares and recommends.
Accuracy testing
Tested against your own examples before launch, with known limits written down.
Usage and running costs
AI usage is charged by the provider. We estimate it up front and show how it's monitored.
Monitoring and maintenance
Quality, cost and errors are reviewed after launch, and the tools are updated as models change.
Error handling and escalation
Unclear or low-confidence cases go to a named person, not to the customer.
